INSAR 2022 Conference

The International Society for Autism Research (INSAR) is a scientific and professional organization devoted to advancing knowledge about autism. INSAR was formed in 2001 and is governed by an elected, volunteer Board of Directors who oversee all functions of the Society. Various committees assist the Board in carrying out the mission of the Society. Further information can be found on the INSAR website.
At this year's INSAR conference in Austin, Texas, some of our SCTL members will be presenting their work:

At this year's INSAR conference in Austin, Texas, some of our SCTL members will be presenting their work:
- Ph.D. student Kristen Walker, Ph.D. student Jacqueline Gates, and SCTL Director Dr. Matthew Lerner were coauthors on the paper “Exploring the intersection of race and autism in young adults: Do provider adverse childhood experience (ACE) inquiries differ based on patient race?”. This paper was accepted to the INSAR 2022 conference. The poster will be displayed and read by autism researchers around the globe!
- Ph. D. student Morgan McNair will be presenting her abstract "Identifying Features of Minimally-Structured Interaction Activities That Facilitate or Impede Social Opportunities for Autistic Youth," as a poster presentation at INSAR 2022. Morgan received an INSAR Student and Trainee Workshop Award!
EJ Autism Foundation's 17th Annual Jigsaw 4 Mile Run/Walk

The EJ Autism Foundation is a public nonprofit charity that honors their sons Eric and Jack who were diagnosed with autism. Its mission is to create Autism Awareness and to support programs and schools on Long Island that currently work with children on the spectrum.
The Social Competence and Treatment Lab is so excited to meet everyone at this event! Come for a fun walk/run and learn more about what we do!
